Privacy Policy
This policy explains how WebCAD ("WebCAD," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use webcad.ca, app.webcad.ca, and related WebCAD services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, display name, authentication provider, and account identifiers. If you choose Google Sign-In, we may also receive your Google profile photo.
- Design and service content: prompts, dimensions, sketches, files, CAD models, exports, and other content you submit or generate.
- Usage and device information: feature usage, timestamps, browser and device details, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostic logs, performance data, and security events.
- Support information: messages, bug reports, attachments, and other information you send when requesting help or providing feedback.
- Transaction information: plan, entitlement, and purchase status. Payment processors handle full payment-card details; WebCAD does not need to store them.
2. Google Sign-In data
WebCAD requests only the standard Google identity scopes needed to sign you in: openid, email, and profile. We use the resulting account identifier, email address, name, and optional profile photo only to create, secure, link, and display your WebCAD account.
WebCAD does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, calendars, or Google account passwords. Google identity data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models. We share it only with service providers that help us operate authentication and the Service, or when required for security or law. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Create accounts, authenticate users, link verified same-email identities, and manage access and entitlements.
- Generate and store requested CAD, simulation, and export results.
- Communicate about authentication, support, security, transactions, and important Service changes.
- Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
As described in our Terms, free-tier design inputs and outputs may be used in anonymized or aggregated form to improve WebCAD. Paid/private-tier inputs and outputs are not used for model training without explicit permission. Google identity data is excluded from model training.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to infrastructure, authentication, email, analytics, payment, support, and AI service providers only as needed to operate WebCAD and subject to appropriate obligations. We may also disclose information to address fraud or security incidents, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to applicable notice and legal requirements.
5. Cookies and local storage
WebCAD and its providers use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and consent, protect accounts, and understand Service performance. Blocking essential storage may prevent authentication or other features from working.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and user content while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. Some records may remain for limited periods in backups, security logs, transaction records, or where required by law. You may request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of associated personal information by contacting us. You can also revoke WebCAD's Google access from your Google Account's security settings; revocation stops future Google Sign-In access but does not automatically delete your WebCAD account.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. WebCAD and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where they operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction should use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required by law or when changes are material.
10. Contact
